Travel Grant
Travel Grant to Early Career Researchers
The European Society for Clinical Virology (ESCV) offers a number of travel grants to support Early Career Researchers in attending ESCV meetings and workshops.
For the annual ESCV meetings, these grants are available to ESCV member students and trainees who have been selected to present either an oral or poster communication.
Applications will be evaluated by members of the Scientific Committee, with awards based on the quality of the submitted abstract and the availability of funds.
The maximum grant amount is €750 for applicants based in Europe. This funding may be used to cover registration fees, travel, and/or accommodation costs. Please note that applicants must be able to cover any additional expenses beyond this amount.
Grants will be reimbursed after the event upon submission of valid receipts.
ESCV also offers a limited number of international travel grants to encourage participation and membership from researchers based in developing countries outside Europe.
These applications will be considered on an individual basis, considering the higher costs associated with attending the meeting.
Important Notes:
- The applicant must be a current member of the ESCV.
- Priority will be given to those who have not received a travel grant from ESCV within the last two years.
- Applicants should not do any travel, accommodation, or registration bookings (unless they can be cancelled) before they have received visa/other permissions to travel as required.
Grant applications must include:
- The official application form using the link https://forms.gle/L6TsQHCYZXUuG9cs6
- An official letter on your institution’s letterhead from your supervisor or head of the department, verifying the accuracy of the information and recommending the award.
- A copy of the abstract on the official form.
- A copy of the applicant’s updated CV.
Applicants are requested to submit the required documents (official letter, abstract copy, and CV) by email to travelgrant.escv@kenes.com
Only complete applications will be considered for a travel grant.
Please note that each applicant may receive only one travel grant.
You may submit your application for the travel grants from the 04th of May until the 24th of May 2026.
